Laboratory: Equipments & experimental set up. All
major equipment available as per syllabus prescribed.
Pharmacology - Major equipments are Analgesiometers, bones,
Centrifuge, Organbaths, Kymographs, animal cages, operation tables, Rotarod,
spirometer, convulsometer. B.P. apparatus Actophotometer, Langendroff's
apparatus, Students's Kymograph Students physiograph Plus maze, Stereotaxis
apparatus, Haberwilliam's maze etc. Various experiments on Toxicology,
Psychopharmacology , Cardio-vascular Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetic studies
& neuropharmacology etc. Software
for cardiovascular studies-BIOPAC also installed in lab.
Pharmaceutics - It
consists of Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharamceutical Engg. Microbiology and
pharmacokinetics lab. The major equipments are Rotary &
Multipunch Compression machine, Mass mixture, coating & polishing pans. Hardness
tester, Dissolution and disintegration apparatus, Sifters, Ball mill, Double cone Blender, Tray Dryer, Ampoule filling & sealing M/C
Autosampler for Dissolution Apparatus, Shimadzu UV-1700 Spectrophotometer Bio-Rad
Elisa plate reader, Horizontal & Vertical Laminar Flow Benches, Snaker
Incubator, High Speed Refrigerated Centrifuge, High Speed Homogenizer,
Mechanical Stirrer, Digital Microscopes, Digital Microscopes, Digital Balance,
Oven, Spinex Mixer, Capsule filling M/c, Lyophilizer, Deep Freeze, Rotary
evaporator.
Pharmachemistry - It
includes Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Medicinal Chemistry lab in
this department. The major equipments
are Double Beam UV-vis spectrophotometer single beams UV-vis spectrophotometer, Flame photometer, Karl-fisher, semi-auto
titrator, conductometers, pH meters, single pan digital balance, polarimeter, Spectrometer
etc. The major experiments are titrimetery
analysis, potentiometer & conductometric titrator,
Pharmacognosy - In
this lab the major equipments are HPTLC, Lyophilizer, Rota evaporator, Muffle
Furnace, Microtome, UV-cabinet, Cutter mill, Projection microscope and Binocular,
microscope, paper & thin layer chromatographic chambers, columns of various
sizes. Soxhlet assemblies. Stage and
eyepiece micrometers, simple & compound microscopes, camera Lucida etc. The
major experiments conducted are microscopical studies, extraction by various
techniques. Isolation and Identification by TLC, PC, Column chromatography and
other standardization procedures of herbal drugs.
Pharmaceutical Analysis - In this lab the major
equipments are FTIR, HPLC, Florescence Spectrophotometer, Double Beam UV-vis
spectrophotometer, Flame photometer, Karl-fisher,
semi-auto titrator, conductometers, pH meters, single pan digital balance,
polarimeter, sepectrometer etc. The
major experiments are titrimetery analysis, potentiometer & conduct
titration.
